Harley organises HOG ride, Rock Riders music festival
More than 700 Harley-Davidson owners gathered for the 3rd Northern Harley Owner’s Group (HOG) Rally in Pushkar recently. Harley owners from across 13 Indian H.O.G. Chapters gathered in Pushkar, making this the largest zonal rally so far.
The riders had the privilege of camping amidst sand dunes and got to participate in a assortment of activities such as hot air balloon, and helicopter rides above the mystical city of Pushkar. This along with a custom motorcycle zone, arm wrestling competitions, workshops on pre-ride motorcycle maintenance,a fusion music night, and, not to forget Harley’s signature custom contest where riders showcase their creativity in customizing their motorcycles. After such an enormous turn out, the H.O.G. will ride on, next stop, the 3rd Eastern H.O.G. Rally to Khajurao in December 2014.
The festivities, however, continue. This time in Mumbai with the Harley Rock Riders festival. This year Grammy nominated American alternative rock band Mutemath will be performing along with other popular names like Zero, Scribe, Blackstratblues, Modern Mafia, One Night Stand, The Circus, Such Nice Boys (feat. Kanan Gill & Kenneth Sebastian), The Supersonics, Devoid, Blakc, Ravi Iyer, Pangea, Tough on Tobacco, Undying Inc, Reverrse Polarity, Duncun Rufus and Until We Last. Along with headbanging to great tunes, attendees will also get a chance to view the first ever Harley-Davidson Street 750 which has been customized by Rajputana Customs. So, overall, It should be one wild fun night.

Moto Guzzi to launch the MGX-21 cruiser
Moto Guzzi are in the limelight once again, this time around its at EICMA. The Italian marque showcased their cruiser prototype – The MGX-21 at the famous Milan show.
The MGX-21 prototype cruiser is a re-worked Moto Guzzi California 1400, which is clad in carbon fibre, matte black paint and red highlights. The other interesting change is the 21-inch carbon fibre front disc wheel.
Well, the MGX-21 prototype does stand out where cruisers are concerned, but we shall wait and see, what the finished production model will brings to the table.

Kawasaki to launch the 2015 Vulcan S cruiser
The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, once again, are in the limelight revealing their entry-level cruiser – the Vulcan S – which will officially make its début at the EICMA this November.
The Vulcan S is powered by a 649cc, 4-stroke, parallel twin engine, also seen in the Ninja 650 and ER-6n, producing 61 PS and 63 Nm of torque in its cruiser avatar, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The 2015 Vulcan S boasts of an array of features which include adjustable foot pegs, comfortable “Ergo-Fit” seat, adjustable handlebars, optional ABS and an analogue/digital instrument console.
Kawasaki are offering the 2015 Vulcan S in four colour options- Metallic Royal Purple, Pearl Crystal White, Candy Lime Green and Flat Ebony. It has been reported the Vulcan S will be priced at approximately $7,000 (Rs 4.2 lakh) and $7,400 (Rs 4.5 lakh) with ABS.
Kawasaki already have the Z250 and the ER-6n motorcycles in India so it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Kawasaki’s new entry-level cruiser, the Vulcan S, will also arrive in India soon.
