Race-derived: KTM RC 390 First Ride Review

April 10, 2015 by Aninda Sardar 1 Comment

KTM RC 390 (9)

On the bends and hairpins surrounding the hills around Modena even a very average rider like myself felt comfortable enough to lean it into the bend and come out the other end without fuss. At every turn the KTM RC 390 inspires confidence to extract a little bit more from yourself. With each progressive kilometre you find yourself leaning a bit more, going just that wee bit quicker than the previous kilometre.

By afternoon, though, we were pulling away from the nice clean roads back into the town, but the fun was far from over. A few turns and roundabouts later we found ourselves in the parking lot of the Autodromo di Modena. Super-quick lunch and an even quicker briefing later we were out on the super-twisty 2.068-km long and 12-metre wide circuit. With its short straights combined with some super-technical bends, the circuit was an able proving ground for the RC 390 and showcased the bike’s dynamic abilities to the hilt.

Now the only thing left is why your review is published only a few months AFTER the India launch and not around that time.
