Veloce Aperion Unveiled, Pushes Two-stroke Engineering to the Limit
Describing this 280-hp eight-cylinder two-stroke hyper-naked has us at a loss for words
At a time where the world is going deeper and deeper down the emissions rabbit-hole, British custom house Veloce Motorcycles has revealed the Aperion, a limited-production naked bike powered by what the company claims is the world’s first modern 1,000-cc X8 two-stroke engine. Producing a claimed 280 horsepower at 12,000 rpm, the machine represents one of the most unconventional motorcycle designs.
At the heart of the Aperion is an in-house-developed X8 engine, combining eight units of the Aprilia RS125’s powerplant into an X-shaped configuration. The engine, itself weighing 105 kg, employs two V4 crankcase assemblies connected by a central transmission housing, with four crankshafts geared to a common jackshaft driving a bespoke (but of course) six-speed gearbox and clutch.
Another of the Aperion’s distinctive engineering features is its eight expansion-chamber exhaust system. To overcome the packaging challenges, Veloce created laser-sintered, all-alloy expansion chambers using advanced 3D-printing techniques.
The Aperion’s engine also serves as a structural member, eliminating the need for a conventional frame. Steel trellis subframes support the front and rear, while a single-sided aluminium swingarm and pull-rod rear suspension complete the chassis.
Now, though the Aperion displayed publicly was a non-running show model, Veloce says that functional prototypes have already been built at its Welsh development facility. The company plans to manufacture just 24 examples, each priced at £78,000 (Rs 97 lakh, excluding taxes). And, as is apparent, chances of an Aperion making its way to India are non-existent.

The Jawa 42 Ivory has witnessed strong customer interest since its introduction in February 2026. Finished in a soft pastel shade, the motorcycle blends classic motorcycling proportions with contemporary styling. Its retro-inspired livery, distinctive ’42’ decals, checkered flag motif on the fuel tank and twin exhaust setup pay homage to the brand’s racing heritage while giving the motorcycle a unique identity within the 42 range.
The Ivory colour is aimed at riders seeking a combination of nostalgic design cues and modern-day usability. With its understated colour scheme and heritage-inspired detailing, the motorcycle offers a fresh interpretation of Jawa’s retro roadster philosophy.
The Jawa 42 is equipped with a 294-cc liquid-cooled J-Panther engine producing 27.3-hp and 26.8-Nm paired with a six-speed transmission.
Interested customers can also book the motorcycle on Amazon and Flipkart. Once the reservation is made on either platform, the nearest authorised dealer connects with the customer to complete the remaining formalities and deliver the motorcycle.
The motorcycle comes with a four year/1,00,000 kilometre standard warranty extended up to six years. Interested customers can also avail eight years of roadside assistance and a five year annual maintenance contract.
The 2026 Jawa 42 Ivory is priced at Rs 1,84,950 ex-showroom. The motorcycle is available for booking online in 118 cities, with 130 dealerships servicing the e-commerce enquiries.

Ultraviolette has opened its new UV Space Station (showroom) in Aizawl, marking the electric vehicle (EV) brand’s entry into Northeast India. The expansion follows the announcement of the brand’s collaboration with Bolt.Earth to expand the Type 6 charging network across India.
Established in partnership with dealer MSS Motors, the UV Space Station will provide customers a chance to explore the brand’s line-up, currently comprising the X-47 on-/off-roader and F77 street bike. Both are equipped with a 10.3-kWh battery, offering an IDC range of 323 km, with a powertrain boasting 30 kW (40.8 hp) and 100 Nm of torque, and a 0 to 60 km/h time of just 2.8 seconds.
The UV Space Station in Aizawl is designed to offer an immersive experience, with test rides, sales, service, motorcycle accessories, and merchandise. With this, the brand aims to further strengthen customer access to its performance electric motorcycles across the region, while bolstering its growing national presence.
Commenting on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, Ultraviolette CEO and Co-founder, called the Northeast as home to one of India’s most passionate riding communities, with a strong culture of motorcycling and adventure. He added that a dedicated showroom presence will help prospective customers experience the brand’s technology, and performance first-hand, while benefiting existing customers with a comprehensive and easily available service ecosystem.
Ultraviolette recently also introduced its ‘Kill the Petrol Bill’ venture, under which any customer upgrading from their current petrol two-wheeler to an Ultraviolette F77 or X-47 will receive a cashback equal to the kilometres covered by their existing two-wheeler in the last two years. Under this proposition, riders can unlock benefits of up to Rs 30,000 towards the purchase of an Ultraviolette motorcycle, based on their riding history and vehicle usage.
By translating kilometres already ridden on petrol into ownership benefits, Ultraviolette is highlighting one of the most compelling advantages of electric mobility: the freedom from perennially rising fuel expenses, without compromising on performance, technology, reliability, or riding experience.
