Easy on the Pocket – Honda Unicorn 160
The day I picked up the new Honda Unicorn 160 from the Mumbai showroom, I fell in love with it. I had ridden from Pune to Mumbai on an Activa 125 and was excited to ride this new Unicorn. Although it looks different from its predecessor, it still retains its core plus-points such as handling and comfort. The suspension set-up is perfect, which made my 180-km ride back to Pune very comfortable. The next weekend I filled Rs 500 worth of petrol, which is a little over seven litres, and rode from Kondhwa, Pune, to Bandra (west), Mumbai, and on the following Monday I rode back to Pune without having to fill a drop more. That makes riding the Honda Unicorn across cities more economical than taking a bus or a cab. Besides, the journey is a lot more fun this way. The Unicorn is now due for its first service. Let’s see if we can get a little more out of this mythical creature.

Ready to Race: KTM RC 390 and RC 200 Road Test Review
The fully faired sport motorcycle trend is a relatively recent phenomenon. Yamaha were the first to deliver a purpose-built small-capacity sport bike in the form of the R15 a few years ago and then Honda gave us the CBR 250R and then 150. However, KTM have probably given us the first set of bikes that are genuine sport bikes that make no pretension to wanting to be put to commuter use. Here’s our take on the RC 390 and the 200 [Read more…]
