Harley-Davidson LiveWire First Ride Review: Ride The Lightning

August 27, 2019 by Harket Suchde Leave a Comment

The LiveWire is an absolute hoot to ride and performs like nothing else I have ever ridden before. It also comes with fast-charging capabilities (40 minutes to 80 per cent, 60 minutes to full charge) with the charging cable slotting into the top of the “fuel tank” and which can be stowed in the under-seat storage when not in use. H-D also offer a companion app for the bike that allows you set up a geo-fence for safety, alerts you if anyone tampers with your bike, allows you to track charging progress and other statistics, and offers turn-by-turn navigation and music and call info in the display via Bluetooth.

The LiveWire is priced at $29,799 (Rs 20.54 lakh) in the US and isn’t expected to come to India for the next year or two at least, but will eventually makes its way here. As Harley-Davidson’s flagship and the first entrant into the EV space, the LiveWire is a stunning motorcycle and, with the world skewing towards more polar-bear friendly options, heralds a new era in the legendary Milwaukee brand’s story.
