Bajaj Auto Ltd. are one of the biggest vehicle makers of India, based in Pune. Their motorcycles are not just popular in India but are also sought after in various international markets like Africa and South America. Bajaj are known for their vast range of motorcycles including the commuter Discover and Platina series; the more stylish V which used metal from INS Vikrant; cruiser Avenger series, the iconic Pulsarrange and the largest capacity Bajaj motorcycle yet - the Dominar 400.
Currently, the company produces its vehicles from Chakan and Waluj in Maharashtra, and Pantnagar in Uttarakhand. The company's head office and R&D centre is based in Akurdi, Pune which was earlier their manufacturing plant.
The Indian major is diversifying and inventing and collaborating with a number of International players. Few years ago, Bajaj acquired 47.96 per cent stake in Austrian two-wheeler maker KTM and has also introduced the performance motorcycle brand in India. More recently, the company has joined hands with Triumph Motorcycles to focus on the fast growing 250-cc to 700-cc premium motorcycle segment.
