How to buy a new Vespa online
Too tired from the daily grind to go to a showroom and book a scooter? Well now you can buy a Vespa scooter online through Snapdeal with the click of a button. To commensurate the launch of this webstore, Vespa has launched a special offer for the first 100 customers to buy their scooters online – the entire range of Vespa models would be available at a booking amount of Rs. 5,000. This includes the Vespa VX, Vespa S and Vespa Elegante. The amount you pay online is just the booking amount and the rest of the payment and documentation required can be done at the dealership. Vespa is among a few automobile brands to have tapped the online retail market. They say their partnership with Snapdeal is targeted especially towards a younger segment of consumers who are digitally active and prefer purchases that provide easy access and transactions without investing much time. This does make it easier to book a scooter and who knows, they might even start selling their apparel online like other automobile brands.

Easy on the Pocket – Honda Unicorn 160
The day I picked up the new Honda Unicorn 160 from the Mumbai showroom, I fell in love with it. I had ridden from Pune to Mumbai on an Activa 125 and was excited to ride this new Unicorn. Although it looks different from its predecessor, it still retains its core plus-points such as handling and comfort. The suspension set-up is perfect, which made my 180-km ride back to Pune very comfortable. The next weekend I filled Rs 500 worth of petrol, which is a little over seven litres, and rode from Kondhwa, Pune, to Bandra (west), Mumbai, and on the following Monday I rode back to Pune without having to fill a drop more. That makes riding the Honda Unicorn across cities more economical than taking a bus or a cab. Besides, the journey is a lot more fun this way. The Unicorn is now due for its first service. Let’s see if we can get a little more out of this mythical creature.
