Yamaha YZF-R1 60th Anniversary Edition out!

Yamaha Motor have released a special 60th Anniversary Limited Edition YZF-R1 in iconic Yellow/Black livery with speed-block graphics.

The YZF-R1 was the first production litre-bike to break the 1,000-PS/tonne power-to-weight barrier back in 2004, and with Yamaha completing 60 years, what better way to commemorate the occasion than to launch a special edition of their flagship supersports bike.

The YZF-R1 60th Anniversary receives a special visual treatment for a stunning presence which is just as unique. Under the skin is the same potent 998-cc in-line four motor making 200 PS. The 199-kg superbike is focused and determined and that makes it so special. Keeping things in checks are cutting-edge electronic aids, including the 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit, that constantly senses chassis motion in 3D, allowing better control over traction, slides, front-wheel lift, braking and, of course, launches. Less worry. More speed.
