With the new Xpulse 210, Hero MotoCorp are offering customers a piece of their racing pedigree from the Dakar.

The Ducati DesertX Discovery has been launched in India, priced at Rs 21.78 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the third variant of DesertX to reach India; after the regular DesertX (Rs 18.33 lakh) launched in December 2022 and the DesertX Rally (Rs 23.71 lakh) which was launched in April 2024. The price premium of the Ducati DesertX Discovery over the regular DesertX is thus a substantial Rs 3.45 lakh.
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 came out of nowhere, and Royal Enfield have done some serious engineering on this bike while upgrading it from the Scram 411, as it now sports a six-speed gearbox. Even Suzuki couldn’t do that when they were upgrading their legendary DRZ400, but Suzuki does make a bike in India, which posts very similar power and torque figures while costing nearly the same—the Suzuki V-Strom SX, also called the V-Strom 250 in some markets. Interestingly, there is yet another motorcycle in that sub-2.2 lakh price range—the Yezdi Adventure, which recently received a host of updates. So we thought that all three bikes cater to the touring clientele while possessing different degrees of off-road cred and costing nearly the same, so why not compare them to see what’s what?

[Read more…]Honda Two-wheelers India have taken a leaf out of the book of Honda Global, and renamed the Honda CB200X as the Honda NX200, just like they did with the Honda NX500, which was previously called the Honda CB500X. The price of the new Honda NX200 is Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it dearer by about Rs 17,500, as the CB200X carried a price tag of Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the price increase, the 200-cc Honda remains one of the most affordable adventure bikes in the country.
