Suzuki Motorcycles India have launched the Gixxer SF fully faired bike in the country. However, we’ve already ridden the bike at Suzuki’s global headquarters in Japan and here are a few things you should know about it.

The Gixxer SF is based on the Gixxer naked bike launched by the company last year. So apart from the fairing and a few cosmetic changes, it shares the engine, chassis and most of the cycle parts with its naked sibling.

Power output stands at 14.8 PS at 8,000 RPM and it generates a peak torque of 14 Nm at 6,000 RPM. The engine is refined and fuel conscious but we did feel it should have had a little more punch.

In recent years, however, the MT-10 has begun to show its age, especially in terms of technology and rider aids. It was always on the thirsty side, too, and, by modern standards, the brakes were lacking. It was time for an update, which is why for 2022 Yamaha introduced a new MT-10 earlier this year.
