Hero MotoCorp launched their new Duet scooter in Maharashtra starting at Rs 49,200 (ex-showroom, Pune).

The Duet is Hero’s contribution to the family scooter segment, and it was launched in Maharashtra today at a starting price of Rs 49,200 for the LX variant and Rs 50,700 (ex-showroom, Pune) for the VX.

The scooter will go on sale starting tomorrow. In addition to the Duet, the company also showcased the Maestro Edge LX priced at Rs 51,000 and the VX at Rs 52,000 (both ex-showroom, Pune). The differences in the VX and the LX versions are only in terms of aesthetics and both scooters employ the same 110.9-cc engine putting out peak power of 8.4 PS at 8000 RPM and torque figures peaking at 8.3 Nm at 6,500 RPM.

Commenting on the occasion, Ashok Bhasin, Head of Sales and Marketing, Hero MotoCorp said, “Being the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, we are all well attuned to the needs and preferences of our customers. Our new products, the Maestro Edge and Duet have been developed keeping in mind the rising aspirations of our customers. Both the scooters are loaded with style, safety and convenience features while embodying the core values of the Hero brand. The Maestro Edge has seen tremendous demand since its launch and we are confident that the Duet will also instantly appeal to the customers.”
