The Honda CB200X has been launched in India today and is priced at Rs 1,44,500 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the motorcycle have opened on the official website.
The Honda CB200X is an ADV-inspired sport-tourer and the latest addition to the lineup of Honda motorcycles in India. With the Indian market having a newfound love for adventure motorcycles, manufacturers are trying to keep up with the demand. A teaser video from Honda two weeks ago us a glimpse at their upcoming motorcycle. We earlier thought that the bike would be called the Honda NX200 as the name was patented. But today we can confirm that this new motorcycle will be called the Honda CB200X
The CB200X uses the Hornet 2.0 as its base and sports the same headlight unit as seen on the Hornet 2.0 surrounded by a good-looking ADV-style fairing with a tall windscreen. The bike gets all-around LED lighting, front indicators on the knuckle guards, a split seat setup, and a chunky golden USD fork at the front. The engine in the CB200X is the same one we have seen in the Hornet 2.0. This is a simple two-valve, air-cooled, and fuel-injected motor putting out 17.3 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 16.1 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The only thing separating the Honda CB200X from the Hornet 2.0 is a new fairing at the front, a wider and raised handlebar, and block-pattern tyres.
