Ride for a Reason

January 23, 2014 by Jim Gorde Leave a Comment

Bajaj Pulsar 200NS web

A number of us ride for the sheer joy of riding our bikes, but it isn’t often that we can make time for just getting on and get going without a destination in mind. If you are one who wishes to ride for a reason, this is as good a reason as any.

The Pulsar 200NS riders group, the Naked Wolves, are set to ride from Mumbai and Pune to the town of Malavli, between both cities. The destination? Shikshan Gram: a shelter for homeless children. Shikshan Gram is a heart-centred organisation dedicated to caring for children who have either lost their parents, or whose parents are unable to care for them. The riders will be donating some much needed day-to-day essentials to the children, like clothes, sheets, pillows and blankets. The aim is simple, do your little bit to give back to society, and help those who, simply, aren’t as fortunate as we are.

Surojit from the Naked Wolves and the rest of the riders will leave from their respective cities and head to Malavli on the 26th of January, Republic Day, turning what would be another ride or get-together into a meaningful experience which would also benefit many more and make their lives a little bit better.

If you own a Pulsar 200NS, or any motorcycle for that matter, and wish to ride along, contact Surojit on +91-9833050178.

Visit http://shikshangram.com/ for more information about the organisation.
