The rubber has be developed specifically for this new motorcycle

British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has decided to use Avon Cobra tyres on the new Bonneville Bobber. The tyres will come in 100/90-19 and 150/80-16 sizes for front and rear respectively, and will be tube-type as they are meant for spoked wheels. The front tyre size was already part of Avon’s range, however the rear tyre is a new size that has been introduced to complement the new bike.

The Bobber is the second Triumph motorcycle to come with Avon rubber as OEM, the first being the Thunderbird LT cruiser, shod with whitewall version of the Cobra radial.

Ashley Vowles, Avon’s motorcycle tyre design engineer, said, “Avon has developed a fantastic relationship with Triumph, and we are delighted to announce this latest OE deal with such a like-minded British manufacturer.”
