Honda are readying a new compact supersport killer. Is this the CBR 250RR?
Honda have revealed a stunner of a supersport design weeks before the 44th Tokyo Motor Show. With sharp, aggressive design language, this model aims to be the basis for a race-replica model of a light-weight motorcycle to step in and wrest the crown from global players.
The key to the design was the phrase “strong presence”. It aims to deliver a design with the look emanating the possession of speed, from its long nose and low, crouched riding position. From the chiselled tank to the single-piece rear, the petal discs and USD front fork to the lean slits for the eyes, the Concept oozes attitude. The graphics on the exterior are low-contrast and in matte-black for an almost understated aggressive sporty intent. It was clearly conceived for one reason, and one reason only, to be blindingly fast and eclipse the competition.
The Kawasaki Ninja 250R/300, Yamaha YZF-R25/R3 and KTM RC 250/390 better watch out.
