The Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori or EICMA (say it with the hand gestures, you know you want to), is one the biggest nights for the global two-wheeler market, and huge announcements are already flying out from the Milan-based motorcycle show. This is one of the most excitement-inducing of the lot: the launch of the new Yamaha MT-10.

A street naked built around that 998-cc water-cooled, in-line four and crossplane crankshaft featured on the YZF-R1, the MT is expected to produce close to the R1’s 200 PS. The flagship of Yamaha’s exciting MT line-up which includes the likes of the MT-09 Tracer, MT-07, MT-03, and MT-25, the future models of all of which are expected to be derivatives of this one. More details will come to light in the coming days, but from where we’re sitting, it looks absolutely drool-worthy.

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on the MT-10, Yamaha, and all the other buzz from EICMA in general right here on Bike India.

In recent years, however, the MT-10 has begun to show its age, especially in terms of technology and rider aids. It was always on the thirsty side, too, and, by modern standards, the brakes were lacking. It was time for an update, which is why for 2022 Yamaha introduced a new MT-10 earlier this year.
