Triumph is recalling 2,180 units of the Tiger Explorer 1200 adventure tourer. The reason for the recall is a faulty side-stand pivot bolt, which may come loose, causing the bike to fall over. Well, weighing 259 kgs, there is a high chance of someone getting hurt real bad if they are around when the bike takes a plummet.

Triumph will notify affected owners, the ones who own models manufactured between 2011 to 2014. Triumph dealers will replace the the side-stand pivot bolt and the lock unit free of charge, and the recall is expected to begin soon.

In recent years, however, the MT-10 has begun to show its age, especially in terms of technology and rider aids.
