4. The heavy perimeter frame has been sent on its way and replaced with a new high-tensile-steel trellis frame. This contributes to the motorcycle’s manoeuvrability.
5. Further contributing to the weight loss are the new swingarm and light alloy wheels which makes it easy to flick the motorcycle into turns. The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is more than 15 kg lighter than its predecessor.
6. The suspension department also features the new Horizontal Back-Link monoshock. This change ensures that there are no protrusions beneath the swingarm and keeps the unit away from the exhaust.
