Austrian giants KTM have teased their 2015 series line-up, the stand-out of which is an all-new 1290 Super Adventure, which will sold alongside the currently available 1190 Adventure. Based on the absolutely mental 1290 Super Duke R, the Super Adventure will definitely run on the same 1301cc V-twin power mill that makes 180 PS at 8,870 RPM and 144 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. In the SuperDuke R, 100 Nm of that peak torque figure kicks in really early, at 2500 RPM, so expect the Super Adventure to improve on that.
The Super Adventure will also feature KTM’s Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC) system, developed in coalition with Bosch, along with more never-seen-before electronic riding assistance gear. More details of the Super Adventure will only emerge on its official launch at the INTERMOT (International Motorcycle) show at Cologne, Germany on the 30th of September, so watch this space.
