All-New 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber Launched In India

May 25, 2021 by Zal Cursetji Leave a Comment

The all-new 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber has been launched in India at Rs 11.75 lakh ex-showroom and will feature a number of capabilities of the Bobber Black variant.

Triumph have said that the all-new Triumph Bonneville Bobber will hold on to the characteristics of the previous-gen Bobber while receiving a number of upgrades. These upgrades include an updated BS6-compliant 1,200-cc high-torque twin-cylinder motor that churns out 78 hp and 106 Nm of torque. Other updates are a new ride-by-wire system, two-riding modes, peashooter silencers, 47-mm forks, a 16-inch fat front wheel and Avon Cobra tyres designed specifically for the new Bobber.

Additionally, two-piston Brembo stoppers, LED lighting, a seat height of 690mm and service intervals of 16,000 kilometres all add to the all-new 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber’s selling points. The Bobber has been one of Triumph’s most successful models in recent years and Triumph hope to continue the trend or improve with the new model.

Speaking on the launch, Shoeb Farooq, Business Head – Triumph Motorcycles India said, “The Triumph Bobber has always had a demand among Indian customers and due to this we decided to bring the Bobber back after a gap of 1 year. The 2021 Bobber features new updates, with the blacked-out finishing giving the motorcycle a more stunning appeal. I’m sure the Bobber will make it to the garages of enthusiasts who have an eye for beautiful motorcycles with engaging performance. With the launch of the Bobber, our Modern Classic line-up now has an overall of 9 motorcycles including 3 special editions which, by far is the largest modern classic portfolio offered by a premium manufacturer in the country offering motorcycles from 900ccc up to a 1200cc platform”.

Colours for the all-new 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber are Matt Storm Grey, Matt Ironstone, the new Cordovan Red, and a Classic Jet Black option.

In recent years, however, the MT-10 has begun to show its age, especially in terms of technology and rider aids. It was always on the thirsty side, too, and, by modern standards, the brakes were lacking. It was time for an update, which is why for 2022 Yamaha introduced a new MT-10 earlier this year.
