Bruce Willis auction off motorcycles for charity

December 17, 2012 by Bike India Team Leave a Comment

Hollywood actors and charity have been around for quite some time, it is in fact actors’ way of giving back love and affection to the society. It seems like actor Bruce Willis is playing Santa quite early in this month of December. Willis, who is one of the most respected and an all time great of Hollywood, is auctioning off part of his motorcycle collection to raise money for charity.

The Bruce Willis collection which is set to go under the hammer include a 2005 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS, a 1991 Yamaha XT350, a 1988 Yamaha TW200, a 1972 Harley-Davidson Ironhead Sportster XLH and a 1962 Cushman Eagle. Even leaving apart the fact that it belongs to a superstar, this collection is quite a treat for collectors and enthusiasts alike. All the proceeds will go to Boot Campaign, a Texas-based charity that helps active and retired members of the US Army.

Willis, who was born on an a military base, said “I wanted to use my bikes in a way that would benefit our military service members, and I am thankful to have found the Boot Campaign as the catalyst for using my bikes in a way that will give back to our country’s true heroes. These bikes have been a lot of fun to ride, and my hope is they can do a lot of good for our veterans.”

Looks like the actor believes in the golden rule- ‘One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.’
