Ducati India have launched the scintillating XDiavel in the country

It has been a rather short wait for the launch of Ducati’s power cruiser the XDiavel, which made its India debut recently. Ducati India have launched this powerful machine at a price tag of Rs 15.69 lakh for the standard variant and Rs 18.27 lakh for the S variant (both ex-showroom, une). The XDiavel is mainly aimed at customers looking for a cruiser and given that this new Diavel is longer, wider and shorter than the standard Diavel, it surely meets the cruiser norm.

Ducati have employed their new DVT-equipped Testastretta L-Twin in the XDiavel, which displaces 1.,262 cc and makes 156 PS and 128.9 Nm of torque. It maybe be slightly less than the standard Diavel, but for a cruiser, this is mighty power. The XDiavel’s L-Twin is mated to a six-speed gearbox that features a slipper clutch with hydraulic control. The final drive has moved from a chain to a belt, again a cruiser touch.

But unlike the traditional cruiser, the XDiavel comes with a host of modern day features like ride-by-wire throttle, liquid-cooling, Ducati’s very own traction control, multiple riding modes, cornering ABS and Ducati Power Launch function, another great and innovative feature.

On the occasion of the launch, Ravi Avalur, MD Ducati India, said “Cruisers are the largest segment in the luxury motorcycle category in India. We wanted to enter this segment with a product that revolutionises the cruiser concept. The XDiavel achieves that with its perfect blend of futuristic styling, state-of-the-art technology and an engine that has been meticulously designed to the very last detail. Our dealers have been overwhelmed with pre-bookings and we’re confident that the XDiavel will be the cruiser-of -choice for connoisseurs across the country.”
