With the 2013 WSBK season just three months away, Ducati has confirmed Carlos Checa as the official rider for the factory team.

Ducati had withdrawn its WSBK operations in 2011 however, the company will be returning to World Superbike racing in 2013 with the 1199 Panigale. Development work of the Panigale is in full swing and now with the confirmation of Checa as the official rider the company hopes to perform exceptionally well in the upcoming season. In other news, Ductai has ended its association with team Althea Ducati however, the loyalty and friendship that the two share will continue to be there.
