Triumph Motorcycles have introduced the revised product range of the Tiger series at EICMA. The previous version of the tiger XR and XC have been upped and the top end models XRx and XCx have been introduced with a first-in-class cruise control option.
The tarmac friendly XR comes with tripmeter, hazard lights, sump guard, alloy wheel and adjustable levers as standard equipment. If the above list isn’t enough for your touring needs, Triumph offers the top end XRx which is equipped with an advanced trip computer, knuckle guards, adjustable windscreen, auto-cancelling indicators and an additional 12v power socket. This 95 PS, 800cc monster now even comes with cruise control in addition to three distinct riding modes.
For those who would prefer to take the off-road path, the XC is a more preferable option. The XC twins are 10 mm taller than the XR twins. The XC is also equipped with fully adjustable WP inverted telescopic forks, and monoshock set up at the rear to help absorb the bumps. The standard XC comes with a tall beaky mud flap, spoked wheels, trip meter, radiator and sump guard, hazard lamps, adjustable levers and a 12v power supply. The top end XCx offers an engine guard and an aluminium sump guard in addition to all the features on the standard XC. All the variants are equipped with traction control and ABS that can be turned on and off. The electronics extend to a smoother ride-by-wire on all the variants.
The global launch can be expected by March 2015. However, there is no word on whether the Tigers will make it to Indian shores, and when.
