The cat is out of the bag! Official sources at Royal Enfield have revealed that the much anticipated RE Continental GT will have its global launch in the UK this September. As you will be aware from our constant updates on the Café Racer offering for India, company officials had stated that the Continental GT was due for launch late-2013.
Along with the global launch, Royal Enfield will also conduct the first-ride of the Café Racer and we definitely expect to a be a part of that. The Chennai-based marque is in the process of consolidating their production capacity and reducing the waiting period for their entire lineup owing to the new plant. The Indian launch is most likely to occur a month or two after the UK launch; around November we would like to believe. Stay tuned for further updates as they occur.
