Honda announce prices of CB Trigger and Dream Neo

May 2, 2013 by Aninda Sardar Leave a Comment

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) have announced the prices of the CB Trigger and Dream Neo.

The CB Trigger is equipped with a Combi Brake System (CBS), a first in this segment. The combi brake system is operated by the foot brake and applies both the front and rear brakes simultaneously, thus reducing braking distance by 32% as compared to conventional braking. Stopping power is provided by 240mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. As seen in Honda’s other 150cc bikes, the Trigger is also equipped with mono suspension. The bike is powered by Honda’s proven 150cc air-cooled Spark Ignition engine with peak power of 14 PS at 8,500 RPM and peak torque of 12.5 Nm at 6,500 RPM. The bike uses a full chain case as well as a lightweight and flexible diamond frame claimed to be suitable for handling and control for a sports model. Other features include a maintenance-free battery and a viscous air filter that is said to provide better dust resistance as compared to conventional filters. The mileage is claimed to be a best-in-class 60 kpl. The CB Trigger will be launched in three colors – Meteor Green Metallic, Pearl Siena Red, and Black. Prices for the CB Trigger will start at Rs 67,384 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the other hand, the Dream Neo has been priced at Rs 43,150 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the lowest priced two-wheeler from HMSI in India. A 110cc motorcycle with claimed fuel efficiency figure of 74 km/l, Honda’s proprietary Honda Eco Technology (HET), with ‘improved piston and combustion chamber design’, and Intelligent Ignition Control, the motorcycle puts out a max power of 8.36PS at 7500rpm and max torque of 8.63Nm at 5500rpm. the Dream Neo comes with black six-spoke alloys and optional tubeless tyres. Like all Honda offerings, maintenance-free battery is standard. Ground clearance is 179mm while wheelbase stands at 1258mm. The Dream Neo will be available in three variants:

  1. Self/Drum/Alloy with tubeless tyre
  2. Kick/Drum/Alloy with tubeless tyre
  3. Kick/Drum/Spoke with tuff-up tube

There will be a range of two-tone colours on offer, including Black and Red Stripe, Black with Violet Stripes, Force Silver Metallic, Monsoon Grey Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic and Alpha Red Metallic.
