2013 Mission R Electric Superbike

May 8, 2013 by Aninda Sardar Leave a Comment

When it comes to fast electric motorcycles, Mission Motorcycles is right up there at the top of the pile. Now the US-based electric motorcycle brand are all set to unveil their latest masterpiece, the 2013 Mission R electric superbike. For those of you who do not know about the Mission R, let us give you some lowdown on the pedigree of this gem of an e-bike. One of the fastest e-motorcycles in the world, the Mission R has competed at the AMA Supersport category at Laguna Seca.

Along with the rise of electric vehicles in the USA, the focus is now shifting gradually to two-wheels too, with players like Brammo, Zero Electric and Vextrix Motorcycles all carving out niche markets for themselves.

Although only a teaser image has been revealed of the 2013 Mission R motorcycle, official sources have stated that enthusiasts are expected to see other models in the company’s line-up, as well as additional trim levels for would-be owners. Expect the Mission R to be in a league of its own, but still capable of teaching a thing or two to our conventional Hondas, Yamahas, Ducatis, Suzukis and Beemers etc.
