Honda CBR500R to participate at IOMTT

March 13, 2013 by Aninda Sardar Leave a Comment

The fastest man on the island will be riding the smaller blade in the lightweight class.

This year we will be witnessing John McGuinness riding in the lightweight class the 2013 Isle of Man TT. It is confirmed that the John will be participating the lightweight class and will be riding a Honda CBR500R, the company’s latest twin cylinder sports bike. McGuinness will be riding for Phil Morris’s RLR racing, a team that John rode for almost a decade ago and claimed back-to-back victories in the lightweight class onboard a Honda VFR400. On this occasion team owner Phil Morris said “We got the new bike delivered last week and we’ve already spent time with it on the dyno. We know we have a lot to do, but it’s an exciting opportunity and John is really up for it. We have a great bike and the best rider so the aim is to be on the top step of the podium this year”

Note: The motorcycle in the photo isn’t a CBR500R; used for representation purposes only.
