Stop easy: Yamaha India launch disc brake version of Saluto

Yamaha India have launched a new version of their 125 cc Saluto commuter motorcycle with the option of a disc brake for enhanced stopping power

Yamaha India have launched a new version of the Saluto 125 cc commuter motorcycle with the bike now benefitting from the addition of a disc brake. Available in four colours – Glory Green, Bold Blue, Dashing White and Majestic Red, the Saluto has been launched at Rs 54,500, ex-showroom, Delhi. The new version also sports a new set of graphics.

The new Saluto’s specs remain unchanged with power continuing to come from the air cooled 125 cc single cylinder four stroke engine with SOHC and two valves. Tipping the scales at just 113 kg, the company claim that the Saluto is the lightest motorcycle in its class in India. The company also claim an ARAI certified fuel economy of 78 km/l.

“It has been our hallmark to continually innovate our products to have a strong connect with our customer base and ensure utmost customer delight. The new Saluto is aimed to provide safer and more controlled biking experience for the city traffic conditions. The same will be available in vibrant color schemes and graphics to boost sales and create more excitement amongst customers,” said Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, on the occasion.
