KTM Super Duke 1290R concept by Mirco Sapio
Austrian motorcycle marque KTM are known for creating truly outrageous concepts on two-wheels. Now, designer Mirco Sapio showcases his take on the monstrous KTM 1290 Super Duke. If you would recall, the 1290 Super Duke was the star attraction at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan and marked the Austrian brand’s return to making asphalt-tearing street bikes.
Taking some cues from KTM’s concept design, the highlights of Sapio’s concept are firstly its gorgeous tail section and exhaust, then the truly unique front-end forks and that futuristic air-intake design. We wouldn’t mind seeing some of these ideas incorporated into KTM’s final work, but that’s certainly not all as the stand out feature has to be the LED headlight setup in this concept. We certainly feel that head honchos at KTM should take a look at this conceptual rendering by Mirco Sapio.
