Bajaj Auto today expanded the Discover series of motorbikes with the launch of the new Discover 125T.
The bike is powered by the same 124.6 cc four-valve DTSi engine as the previously-launched 125ST, delivering peak power of 12.5 PS at 9,000 RPM and peak torque of 10.8 Nm at 6,500 RPM.
The 125T is very similar to the 125ST, with the rear monoshock suspension replaced by nitrox twin shock suspension. This could possibly have been done in response to customer feedback, as there are still customers unsure of the suitability of monoshock suspension in commuter bikes. This has also allowed Bajaj to launch the bike at a price point lower than the 125ST.
The Discover 125T will be available in four colours (Flame Red, Brilliant Blue, Midnight Black with red decals, and Midnight Black with blue decals) and in two variants – Rs 54,022 for the drum brake variant and Rs 57,070 for the disc brake variant, both ex-showroom Chennai.
