Royal Enfield Shotgun Patent Filed

April 28, 2021 by Anosh Khumbatta Leave a Comment

A patent has been filed for the Royal Enfield Shotgun name, and we expect this to be another bike built around RE’s 650-cc, twin-cylinder platform.

The Chennai-based manufacturer has made it clear that we can expect new models and variants several times a year, although we don’t know yet what to expect from the Royal Enfield Shotgun. Speculation is that it is going to follow the cruiser form and be powered by RE’s 648-cc air-cooled twin that makes 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque. Not much more is known at this time, but we expect Royal Enfield to launch at least two bikes based around their 650-cc platform by early 2022. Stay tuned for more.
