2014 Kawasaki Z1000 Sugomi

Kawasaki unveiled their latest maniac machine with the tag line – ‘Sugomi! The call of the wild” at EICMA 2013. When speaking about the new 2014 Kawasaki Z1000, one thing is for sure: this litre-class naked streetfighter can make anyone go weak in the knees with its jaw-dropping looks and that serpentine aura it possesses.

The 2014 Z1000 houses a 1,043cc inline-4 mated to a 6-speed gearbox, capable of churning out 140 PS of peak power and 111 Nm of torque. On the tech side, the Z1000 sports Showa SFF Big Piston suspension equips the front-end while a horizontal back-link damper takes care of the rear both with plenty of settings available. Kawa-branded Tokico monobloc radial calipers squeeze the petal rotors and ABS is also present for better control in tight situations.

That’s not all, the 2014 Z1000 also features a redesigned air intake system along with an all-new LED headlight setup. It also utilises the aluminium backbone frame of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and a more compact rear subframe with enhanced sturdiness.

The Z1000 Sugomi is perfect for those who are on the lookout for a really mean litre-class street fighter.
