Team Nitro cinches Guinness World Record with 16 motorcyclists backflip

March 11, 2013 by Aninda Sardar Leave a Comment

Earlier this month at the European release of Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D, 16 daredevil riders from Team Nitro – completed backflips simultaneously on their bikes. The daredevils’ team which included riders from Europe, New Zealand, and the USA set a new Guinness World Record that day. The team executed their backflips with perfect precision and just inches away from fellow riders on either side of them. This remarkable event was streamed to over 500 cinemas across Europe while action sports legend Travis Pastrana led the team to a new Guinness World Record. While presenting the team with their certificate, Guinness World Records adjudicator Ben Backhouse said, “It’s been an officially amazing evening. We’ve seen some incredible motorcycle stunts and what a better way to finish the evening with a brand new Guinness World Records title.”
