2015 Harley-Davidson 883 Roadster

September 1, 2014 by Team Bike India Leave a Comment

Harley-Davidson have unveiled the new 883 Roadster for the global market.

The 2015 Roadster sports similar design cues found on the Iron 883 in particular the unmistakable presence of the peanut-shaped tank. The Roadster sports the 883cc air-cooled Evolution V-twin engine, which gets a nifty matte-black paint, with matching rocker covers and cylinders. The iconic oval air-intake is set just above the all-black mill, which allows one to recognize the 883 from the rest of the herd.

The 2015 Harley-Davidson 883 Roadster is a minimalist machine when it comes to controls and instrumentation. The ergonomic hand controls also include an easy-to-reach trip button which scrolls though the functions of the small LCD integrated in the single-gauge cluster. While the analogue dial shows the current speed, the trip switch can also set the LCD to show the gear position or revs, for a really sleek, stylish, but nevertheless comprehensive solution.

The Roadster is also set to get ABS as part of the standard package. That’s not all it also sports dual front rotors squeezed by dual-piston calipers, with a matching single-disc combination for the rear. The 19” front and 16” rear 13-spoke aluminium wheels are wrapped in Michelin Scorcher tires.

Pricing and availability details have not yet been disclosed. Sources close to Harley-Davidson have confirmed that the initial lots of the 2015 883 Roadster will go on sale in the German and South African markets.

Harley-Davidson India, we hope you are taking a note of this.
