Who am I? Abhinav and Anish Bike : Bajaj Pulsar 220
Trip Log: Me and my friend Anish started off early from my hometown, Bareilly on my Bajaj Pulsar 220 and were soon out of the city limits. The roads weren’t very rider friendly but that’s the beauty of such rides – the tougher the terrain, the more fun it is. The altitude kept increasing and so did our excitement and the digits on the bike’s speedometer. Around noon, we hit the town of Haldwani where we halted for a while to have lunch and also to get my bike serviced. The second leg of our journey began soon after and the terrain got all the more difficult with winding roads and vehicles that could only be heard around the turns, coming into view only when very close to us. Yet, we found ourselves lost in the scenic beauty of the place. Time and again, we had to stop to capture the lovely place, its beauty and our presence in that moment in our hearts and also our camera.
We finally reached Bhimtal and spent some quiet moments sitting by the lake. The beauty of the place refreshed not just our bodies but also our senses. We then started back for Haldwani. However, the adventure for us was waiting in the form of a small water stream which I had to cross on foot while half of the bike remained submerged in it. The bike then started giving trouble and I couldn’t cross the speed limit of 35km/h. It took us four hours to cover those 100km. At the end of the day, it was the adventure we had, the roadside tea that we sipped, the kids who waved at us and the peeing around the trees that I will remember and cherish about this motorcycle journey.
