Royal Enfield will be launching a new motorcycle in India on 26 March 2019, which is expected to be a scrambler version based on the Royal Enfield Classic.
The Royal Enfield Bullet Club have shared spy pictures of what seems to be a Scrambler-inspired version of Royal Enfield’s Classic 500. Royal Enfield clearly aren’t resting on their laurels after the resounding success of their recently-launched twins, and are already working on their next new product. Photos have emerged of what seems to be a pre-production version of a Scrambler-styled motorcycle based on the Classic 500, complete with knobby tyres, luggage rack in place of the pillion seat and upswept exhaust.
A few months ago, a Royal Enfield Classic Scrambler was spotted at a dealership and later another test mule was spied near the ARAI in Pune. The Indian motorcycle maker is set to unveil a new motorcycle later this month and sources close to Royal Enfield say that it will be the Scrambler-version of the popular bike, perhaps in both 350-cc and 500-cc options. The standard Royal Enfield Classic 350 and 500 are priced at Rs 1.36 lakh and Rs 1.76 lakh respectively. The Scrambler version will surely demand a premium over the standard version.
